<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Apologies for the grainyness of the picture I forgot to take final pics of the finished figure again whoops, anyway's by all accounts my friend absolutely loved this as a present from his brother so mission accomplished for me at least!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DbONew6TG-Y/UpHKpDThvXI/AAAAAAAAB2M/soiXRNbuyG8/s1600/IMG_2483.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="286" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-DbONew6TG-Y/UpHKpDThvXI/AAAAAAAAB2M/soiXRNbuyG8/s400/IMG_2483.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next on the table are some Chaos Chosen, they are to be painted in Tzeentch colours, and to that end I have picked Blue, Purple,White and gold as my colours.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--Bz2AWN8GkU/UpHK6YBKSYI/AAAAAAAAB2c/ElXbK4Jdmmo/s1600/IMG_2514.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/--Bz2AWN8GkU/UpHK6YBKSYI/AAAAAAAAB2c/ElXbK4Jdmmo/s400/IMG_2514.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t-EIC5nlU9Y/UpHK9KdCaDI/AAAAAAAAB2k/se06ZCZo-XI/s1600/IMG_2515.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-t-EIC5nlU9Y/UpHK9KdCaDI/AAAAAAAAB2k/se06ZCZo-XI/s400/IMG_2515.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This chap was the first guy to be completed to get a feel for the scheme, to be honest they look amazing in plastic but are very hard to get looking nice.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is due to the detail being very subtle and smooth across the whole figure.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I had to use black lining on most of the armour to make it "pop" a technique I've not used since I was teenager!!!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w6x8rABcJNU/UpHLCNEYrcI/AAAAAAAAB20/jWJtJAoriKk/s1600/IMG_2538.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-w6x8rABcJNU/UpHLCNEYrcI/AAAAAAAAB20/jWJtJAoriKk/s400/IMG_2538.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the current progress f the squad, I am still refining how I paint even after all these years and the lesson I learnt from these is to find a base colour that goes on easy.......not in 3 coats grrrrrr.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stay tuned for more and possibly a second author......</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

I,ve managed to get the Custodes finished off with a few alterations to suit the customers requests.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XWSCEM1rIgM/UmJLdLx8Q7I/AAAAAAAABwE/X1vCrhL6ZPM/s1600/008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-XWSCEM1rIgM/UmJLdLx8Q7I/AAAAAAAABwE/X1vCrhL6ZPM/s400/008.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
First off was an airbrush with Gehenna's gold over Army Painter black base primer.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BzWQ01fqCDc/UmJLGe8GRfI/AAAAAAAABvs/q6YzelosBHc/s1600/004.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-BzWQ01fqCDc/UmJLGe8GRfI/AAAAAAAABvs/q6YzelosBHc/s400/004.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next Khorne red was used on the crests and robes and Ulthuan grey on the stone base with Stirland Mud texture around the edges.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ozXhXokDjjE/UmJLrbU-_LI/AAAAAAAABwY/sof4rav3jLM/s1600/001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ozXhXokDjjE/UmJLrbU-_LI/AAAAAAAABwY/sof4rav3jLM/s400/001.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Next the Shields were filled in with Chaos black (Abaddon black is uselessly thin)</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then I washed the whole figure and base with Agrax earth shade mised witha drop of Ardcoat to extend the drying time and prevent bad tide marks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The red was higlighted up through Evilsuns Scarlet to Kindleflame and the Gold overbrushed with Gehenna's Gold and Auric armour with a small final highlight of Runefang steel.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AMV-oAze8os/UmJMEixckjI/AAAAAAAABw8/f_Y221RNcSg/s1600/012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-AMV-oAze8os/UmJMEixckjI/AAAAAAAABw8/f_Y221RNcSg/s400/012.JPG" width="298" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The power weapons were based with a mix of Temple Guard blue and Ulthuan grey, then shaded with the same mix with a little more TGB finally with black.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then highlighted up with white to finish.(it's my first attempt at this so pretty chuffed)</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9vtNBZw0PaE/UmJMJpNkYKI/AAAAAAAABxQ/4NzB9TvGzS8/s1600/009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-9vtNBZw0PaE/UmJMJpNkYKI/AAAAAAAABxQ/4NzB9TvGzS8/s400/009.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
looking good as a squad!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c5zALC0IPoQ/UmJMXJWU5gI/AAAAAAAABxs/NbMCZd-1x54/s1600/003.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="298" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-c5zALC0IPoQ/UmJMXJWU5gI/AAAAAAAABxs/NbMCZd-1x54/s400/003.JPG" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Final choice was to add some more black on the Pauldrons and front armour to break up the gold a bit.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Overall these were a joy to paint the Scibor kits seem nice to work with and paint.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Stay tuned for some showcase picture, I am in the progress of organising some themed backdrops to shoot Showcase pictures against.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The only thing I needed to do was finish the bases off with weathering powders.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After them I did a small piece for a chap at my work place, this was a small pewter model car I cleaned up and painted for him.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Welcome back to another edition of Munkystyle, not a great deal to report but a pretty varied experience this month. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Firstly I found some old gaming stuff buried in my dads loft, Dungeon Quest and some realm of chaos books being the highlight. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlfggu34hq4kaffVjSe9QZZ1m7BuYnNOi-maZHZZPXjQRO8QdEVDDzkB_mdLiyzQawUWGM9yJFiy1D9FlBCrK9rMeodbWVXKMiL1riPnmog0-472pMQJ2AGslUX_ZOTsOzds6KcbS4Sh4K/s640/blogger-image-1230382037.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhlfggu34hq4kaffVjSe9QZZ1m7BuYnNOi-maZHZZPXjQRO8QdEVDDzkB_mdLiyzQawUWGM9yJFiy1D9FlBCrK9rMeodbWVXKMiL1riPnmog0-472pMQJ2AGslUX_ZOTsOzds6KcbS4Sh4K/s400/blogger-image-1230382037.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
Following that vein of old skool gaming my group has revamped our interest in Warhammer Quest, so much so I actually bought a model for myself!!! An Empire Battle wizard set, and so Archibald Zane was conceived. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
The commission grinds ever onwards and is nearing completion, I've always struggled with basing and seeing the bases from Anvil Industries are so detailed I thought I'd try my hand at weathering powders. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

It's a bit late but I thought I'd share my experience of my first tournament and "competitive play.<br />
Firstly I'd like to thank the organisers and the players for making the event such a good weekend.<br />
<br />
The event was held at <a href="http://www.facebook.com/TabletopNation">Tabletop nation</a> in Hockley, Essex over Sat and Sunday 23rd/24th March<br />
the format was 6 games over 2 days 1500 pts standard force organisation chart and codexs allowed.<br />
<b>My List:</b><br />
Thunderwolf Lord - Powerfist / Stormshield<br />
Thunderwolf - Frostblade / Stormshield<br />
Rune Priest - Runic weapon / Runic armour<br />
6 Greyhunters + Las / Plas Razorback<br />

<br />
<b>Allies:</b><br />
Company Command Squad<br />
10 Veterans<br />
10 veterans<br />
Vakyrie 3 Lascannons<br />
<br />
After meeting some old friends and a lot of new ones at the "surprised" local coffee shop we rolled up about 9 am for the briefing we got stuck in:<br />
<br />
<b>Game 1</b> Vs Space Wolves (lee)<br />
Crusade/Dawn of war<br />
Lee wins deployment and first turn<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Vh317PKpXEw7oxZZ18klMoWvge2Gd7EVknTnzpads1NWUFYmuH0C3lqqfDu4LpmF1DxWhBI0sspMSK_QUlz2ntpn-HgHlAIEG1-1Qh_1lMfgwtNZP-qJn2Zg0SeCmssRZD81ePyPRP5g/s1600/SDC12783.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Vh317PKpXEw7oxZZ18klMoWvge2Gd7EVknTnzpads1NWUFYmuH0C3lqqfDu4LpmF1DxWhBI0sspMSK_QUlz2ntpn-HgHlAIEG1-1Qh_1lMfgwtNZP-qJn2Zg0SeCmssRZD81ePyPRP5g/s320/SDC12783.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The game went to four turns before we called time, it was Le first game since the mid 90's so we took it easy and explained the rules as we went along.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
lee's force was 4 Terminator led squads of Greyhunters a Terminator Rune Priest with support from two squads of Missile Longfangs.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9DPpvvDyrWtkgOITRTfihgaBcpcDm0H3o_zImz1JJ8eJ3T6_7H4I6eIaZy0fFTDyIZR_TCt9ardDvj4pSAnhzBX6YklFma0c1D-pMWYVI-Tum6z1qk_liTNCIGh_jkLu3dsG57qmE4_pw/s1600/SDC12784.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj9DPpvvDyrWtkgOITRTfihgaBcpcDm0H3o_zImz1JJ8eJ3T6_7H4I6eIaZy0fFTDyIZR_TCt9ardDvj4pSAnhzBX6YklFma0c1D-pMWYVI-Tum6z1qk_liTNCIGh_jkLu3dsG57qmE4_pw/s320/SDC12784.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The game was was a general troop ruckus which was rudely interupted by my Thunderwolf Lord and chum smashing up two 10 man squads of Greyhunters! he passed 40 odd 2+ saves in the end!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The game was a win 7-5 on victory points</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Game 2</b> vs Eldar (Adam)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Purge the Alien/ Hammer and Anvil</div>
Adam wins deployment and first turn.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhU6AlmbTJHT08dmth43Oc0OCfxRiBcgkTUCeZxuUn03IZsg5D5OIpSyDvXDfDOT1I96piLDUTklZBmI48MdAQZyHkQYQ2VmDD8ct9PhwiNNWCbbLPpkRdNmMzndlTZUDi-Y9D3KqkHa8C/s1600/SDC12788.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhhU6AlmbTJHT08dmth43Oc0OCfxRiBcgkTUCeZxuUn03IZsg5D5OIpSyDvXDfDOT1I96piLDUTklZBmI48MdAQZyHkQYQ2VmDD8ct9PhwiNNWCbbLPpkRdNmMzndlTZUDi-Y9D3KqkHa8C/s320/SDC12788.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This game was a lesson in power gaming and just how lethal a real tournament list can be, the deployment forced me into a narrow channel against Adams Warwalkers, Vypers, Wave Serpents and Dire Avengers and Fire Dragons.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4xmj46d29XgL5R-tyO98W9K_abFhhP3aMdEUZxti-lS-oqmzrPJ7Q8sKZoNyNEbzL6HQ9lsquSbLOmmmk46poNil8NRzJgOwK7VRGqVOpRcTXaiDLPdRt8RuvJUmSbIKIiHV0oOpGq2TM/s1600/SDC12789.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh4xmj46d29XgL5R-tyO98W9K_abFhhP3aMdEUZxti-lS-oqmzrPJ7Q8sKZoNyNEbzL6HQ9lsquSbLOmmmk46poNil8NRzJgOwK7VRGqVOpRcTXaiDLPdRt8RuvJUmSbIKIiHV0oOpGq2TM/s320/SDC12789.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<span style="text-align: center;">He Alpha striked me by picking off the vehicles and Thunderwolves and preceded to focus fire on each threat as it arose reducing me to a husk in 6 turns.</span><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmheJMY26DgVYmjJJcmDCu7tHp26fHhhEBSr4gnOra7EiJhw7KwZ1T_iYI3xLTOjyg6xzRHiGLS_vh4got7Z0om4qc3TJFVAPTTNs1T6MoR3xOajql8PSjLs6c5NFEFCOSQOn68_BWGpz7/s1600/SDC12785.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmheJMY26DgVYmjJJcmDCu7tHp26fHhhEBSr4gnOra7EiJhw7KwZ1T_iYI3xLTOjyg6xzRHiGLS_vh4got7Z0om4qc3TJFVAPTTNs1T6MoR3xOajql8PSjLs6c5NFEFCOSQOn68_BWGpz7/s320/SDC12785.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Facing 72 strength 6 shots a turn is a real eyeopener! all I can say is ouch, ouch, ouch!</div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqM-_zlSRqCAGFVG43rGxw5wBvsXMHbjVtD-VZFwkM6O9KetMHcqQBuqu8aGcT9cunjiKiLQq2PF55hyDc3bABXli1h5x0um-_cAVnQK9rljV834zbmoLTok_eFoJ9jIYjKLs0P4ehbvzS/s1600/SDC12787.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqM-_zlSRqCAGFVG43rGxw5wBvsXMHbjVtD-VZFwkM6O9KetMHcqQBuqu8aGcT9cunjiKiLQq2PF55hyDc3bABXli1h5x0um-_cAVnQK9rljV834zbmoLTok_eFoJ9jIYjKLs0P4ehbvzS/s320/SDC12787.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The game was a loss 14-5 yikes!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Game 3</b> Black Templars (Dan)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Big Guns/Dawn of war</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Dan wins deployment and first turn(see a pattern yet!)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Dan's army was Terminators with 2 Assault Cannons and Marshall, two squads of Bretheren and a brace of Predators.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVqJpdSqQxCg5TSec1Gsz3W36q5kR0Z6-TJR2BnwmvgSoOredtcpvzM-zTM2GpmSMqWHBPnyDVQWq5VNk-jQdbt1G-d4Z5NOvovLTktMMhT49hl0nAgJRFUKy29JFt4wzVi5UKxVgKHEIS/s1600/SDC12799.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiVqJpdSqQxCg5TSec1Gsz3W36q5kR0Z6-TJR2BnwmvgSoOredtcpvzM-zTM2GpmSMqWHBPnyDVQWq5VNk-jQdbt1G-d4Z5NOvovLTktMMhT49hl0nAgJRFUKy29JFt4wzVi5UKxVgKHEIS/s320/SDC12799.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This game was dominated by a big smackdown with the Terminators and Thunderwolves with some late game grabs of the objectives by Dan .</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Luke's force was 2 small squads of Firewarriors with a Ionhead and two Broadside teams and two Battlesuit teams with a Commander.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEn_dSVXuMOV0xXI6o79jxQN287xnSaFvi2mvhNoL_ND9GlJHqY8qLCsmDaLKJv4BBw43AJjudZpFWpIef8V8CzHRDJPjbskgKyNN6MHIYFktZFQI3SHw7XpeJZA8pI3Bw17jbOODvqDmE/s1600/SDC12802.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiEn_dSVXuMOV0xXI6o79jxQN287xnSaFvi2mvhNoL_ND9GlJHqY8qLCsmDaLKJv4BBw43AJjudZpFWpIef8V8CzHRDJPjbskgKyNN6MHIYFktZFQI3SHw7XpeJZA8pI3Bw17jbOODvqDmE/s320/SDC12802.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This was one of the best games of the weekend, it was a really tight game of careful maneuvers by the Tau and the Wolves, I was slowly learning to use the Guardsmen offensively especially once the Rune Priest casts a 4+inv save on them!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Eventually the game was a win 8-5 but had the game run to turn 6 it would have flipped to some thing like 11-3 loss, Luke was poised to obliterate me off the objectives...phew!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Game 5</b> Dark Eldar (Shawn)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Emperors Will / Dawn of war</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

I confess I'm not too sure on Shawn's armylist but it was all mechanised with two units of troops and Archon with Nasty ap2 chums!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZOTvfkJKtCSlAj2NzTLtvwBnjiWs0cqvG2FzOi-7a_AuPnwHs3w-37CjTFQ7nmxAyHaYWRXdF3LqoWWLilUErnQaBtXyLKYLCzF3yMNGqFicNe2eYqr6jmNQ3JTIDiotZj78y-0OShcNa/s1600/SDC12805.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZOTvfkJKtCSlAj2NzTLtvwBnjiWs0cqvG2FzOi-7a_AuPnwHs3w-37CjTFQ7nmxAyHaYWRXdF3LqoWWLilUErnQaBtXyLKYLCzF3yMNGqFicNe2eYqr6jmNQ3JTIDiotZj78y-0OShcNa/s320/SDC12805.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This game was dominated by rediculous shooting once again, loads of str5 ap2 twin linked shots make a mess of things fast!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Highlight was some Veterans grenading a vehicle to bits, way to go chumps!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In the end the game was Draw 5-4 Shawn got an extra secondary point to technically win.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Alex's force was Assault troops, Death Company and a Death Company Dreadnought,Storm Raven and Chaplain (special character who I can't remember his name whoops) and a rather lucky Librarian.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Alex stormed forward and secured the Relic whilst his Dreadnought sliced into my right flank with its Blood Talons, meanwhile the Thunderwolves tore into his right flank.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The center was a huge gunfight and melee with everyone piling into one huge brawl.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiawj81rJt7v1g5rkOEFY_KplYcLfGNcu6oY0dFBnps1mq5fOtC4_x47U3Bz3kHZv_qJIh_Al8H-YlgtvrOrQsnMFdIiEXf_WTfYvGV4j0xXOkEy0VaU2_QL8ePCwMrynlqmusrJk0i71e/s1600/SDC12812.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiiawj81rJt7v1g5rkOEFY_KplYcLfGNcu6oY0dFBnps1mq5fOtC4_x47U3Bz3kHZv_qJIh_Al8H-YlgtvrOrQsnMFdIiEXf_WTfYvGV4j0xXOkEy0VaU2_QL8ePCwMrynlqmusrJk0i71e/s320/SDC12812.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The Blood angels managed to get the Relic 6" from the center by games end the Librarian had the objective he had rolled Scoring unit as his warlord trait, I was all set to Lascannon him to power with my Valkyrie but the pesky Stormraven stopped it shooting...gah!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Game ended a loss 4-1 but so close.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
All in I placed 9th out of 12, not too bad for my first foray into tournaments.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I learnt to play more aggressively, the smallest unit or the seemingly weak model can really change the game.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Il show the pics from the tournament as well as my experiences in a post soon <br />
It was my first tournament so I was a complete novice but had a smashing time :)<br />

I've now completed the scouts and painted the base edges of the long fangs ready for snow flocking. <br />
I also squeezed in 6 objective markers too, these have been sitting in my dice box for a few years so its nice to finish them off at last. <br />
<br />
The next two models I've been waiting an age to paint..... Thunderwolves!<br />
After those it's two Razorback in need of finishing and il be done!!<br />
<br />
Anyways here's some pics:<br />

I've actually managed to be fairly productive these past few weeks, even with the looming need to feed little Munky and give him cuddles!<br />
A while back I was entered into a local tournament called Throne of Lolz, this due to take place on the 23rd of this month..... Eeeek!<br />
It's requirements are painted figures and a 1500 pt list for Warhammer 40k. <br />
<br />
Well I'm borrowing some Imperial guard allies from a friend and have a 1200 or so force of Space Wolves to paint up. <br />
To make things worse recent Internet browsing has totally changed my mind on my original scheme.... So I've redone all my old figures and made a start on new ones to make my armylist. <br />
<br />
The following pics are of Grey Hunter Squads 1 and 2 and my Longfangs complete with Runepriest. <br />
Followed by my newly built Scout models. <br />
<br />
They arnt finished yet, just base coated and shaded, also I'm working on a new snowy basing technique which il use soon. <br />
<br />
Stay tuned for Scouts, Thunderwolves and Razorbacks in the next two weeks..... Omg that's gonna hurt! <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDOL5D9BJ8mV7lvr4wQemGjvCg6tSYoCE5Vq05Z8hFUIYNORLQftDzhXz9Nm8RJtsoyB3dz05OjUR0NRevag8sykjC7C59CeOzDNdFoyoGPM6r59_YVhBmeZxPrEGUC84S_Lu5jQ8dTeB7/s640/blogger-image--1462910724.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhDOL5D9BJ8mV7lvr4wQemGjvCg6tSYoCE5Vq05Z8hFUIYNORLQftDzhXz9Nm8RJtsoyB3dz05OjUR0NRevag8sykjC7C59CeOzDNdFoyoGPM6r59_YVhBmeZxPrEGUC84S_Lu5jQ8dTeB7/s640/blogger-image--1462910724.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht3aAajM4CNuOBogFBZC3bkmN68zIs3R1ZSIbnpLw95NQKRvDoBkd-Iy-xYRgZGssHn3VjEihRdXcvH_feVs_ZGXvPJcLkMJgW7uXz5b7jbBV_g9d8mfLo8vry_8c52ytv_l7QLHL9npGO/s640/blogger-image--1883574673.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEht3aAajM4CNuOBogFBZC3bkmN68zIs3R1ZSIbnpLw95NQKRvDoBkd-Iy-xYRgZGssHn3VjEihRdXcvH_feVs_ZGXvPJcLkMJgW7uXz5b7jbBV_g9d8mfLo8vry_8c52ytv_l7QLHL9npGO/s640/blogger-image--1883574673.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhImnGp-JxJDXYiIymlxucydBd0Bo9yH47nA4Ngm4wIJLiHkr7MnnEYAQX6uNPrMxi34DfLm8oAjOSSuDdqRn7a9BYSeY4ezv-bEFb5IrqApBzzhzLPyezl3hjH6BGQl8QQ2wxS_7yKd4vN/s640/blogger-image-124881906.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhImnGp-JxJDXYiIymlxucydBd0Bo9yH47nA4Ngm4wIJLiHkr7MnnEYAQX6uNPrMxi34DfLm8oAjOSSuDdqRn7a9BYSeY4ezv-bEFb5IrqApBzzhzLPyezl3hjH6BGQl8QQ2wxS_7yKd4vN/s640/blogger-image-124881906.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8jWiAWVC3AbgRO9YGq_uct7KaEWunmS9-BOsdM3hP2Qkz36GRWM8zL9et-TMgSQNGSlj4nwsyccb4m1BcaGW5adHzfx9b6CPF1k_2rSBFC4mLF1YBclEdrMkCOQ-NESuligBPfjfm94T5/s640/blogger-image-344721637.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8jWiAWVC3AbgRO9YGq_uct7KaEWunmS9-BOsdM3hP2Qkz36GRWM8zL9et-TMgSQNGSlj4nwsyccb4m1BcaGW5adHzfx9b6CPF1k_2rSBFC4mLF1YBclEdrMkCOQ-NESuligBPfjfm94T5/s640/blogger-image-344721637.jpg" /></a></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00372430765574557833noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204576268093529635.post-78236325126003601982013-02-18T04:44:00.001-08:002013-02-18T04:44:35.357-08:00Where does the time go?Well what a hectic few weeks!<br />
Firstly I'd like to welcome little Munky into the world, our son James was born 15th January and has spun things upside down for me. <br />
<br />
I love being a father and can't wait to see him when I get back in from work, but as you can understand hobby time has been very limited.<br />
<br />
Limited yes but productive! I have been busy working on my buddies Dark Elf Bloodbowl team see pics below. <br />
<br />
Alongside this I've finalised the colours for another friends Van Saar gang, and have one dude painted up to show that off. <br />
Base needs work, but I'm intent on using weathering powders on them for the first time.....<br />
<br />
In other news my father has told me he has got back into painting again and I'm going to invite him along to a game next week to see what his thoughts are on that. <br />
<br />
Anyway enough rambling, here's some pics...<br />
<br />

I'm writing this off my iPhone as I have no Internet at present, one of the problems with renovating your house lol. <br />
<br />
Anyway's I've been entered into my first tournament in march and while I wait for new paints to arrive I've been busy building some Space Wolves. <br />
I've rebuilt my Rhino/Razorbacks so they are all built and magnetised the same. <br />
Next I built some Plasma/Flamer marines. <br />
And my Thunderwolf Lord and his companions, finally I've built a model I've wanted to make for an age... Terminator Rune Priest!<br />
<br />
As soon as the paints arrive il be back on the commission work with the Bloodbowl team and Necromunda gang so stay tuned <br />
<br />
Munky <br />

I've been a bit busy seeing family and bargain shopping with the wife, but if squeezed in a bit more work. <br />
I've cleaned up and pinned the Van Saar gang I'm working on for Adam Smith and built a few Plasma and Flamer marines for my Space Wolves too. <br />
My own Necromunda gang parts have arrived from Puppets War and Pig Iron, more on these soon. <br />

A very very long time no see,I've been rediculously busy renovating our new house for the past 5 months. <br />
And our first little baby munky is due within the next few weeks, exciting and busy times. <br />
<br />
Now the house is wrapped up for Xmas (lol) I've been able to organise my workspace once more. <br />
<br />
I've been redoing my Space Wolves paint scheme, 5 months away has allowed me to see them in a new light, I'm taking the opportunity to add missing options and weapons to the units to round them out. <br />
<br />
Two of my friends have been leaning on me to start commission work again, so I'm going to be working on a Dark Elf Blood Bowl team and a Necromunda Van Saar gang as well. <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaZ73zcI3rEnaWkz-nvrXxEZrMxHFTLeY-fCWg4rL3zyjXVhJFkvTDjBDF9keUWoJvzBgGcB17MxReE0tpeuBZercko485A7SAeOJVGkTL12WPsmj2BRik9vOh52mnOhw4g1MNzMWTr_Xh/s640/blogger-image--846130391.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhaZ73zcI3rEnaWkz-nvrXxEZrMxHFTLeY-fCWg4rL3zyjXVhJFkvTDjBDF9keUWoJvzBgGcB17MxReE0tpeuBZercko485A7SAeOJVGkTL12WPsmj2BRik9vOh52mnOhw4g1MNzMWTr_Xh/s640/blogger-image--846130391.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhunDgJAJLWWN5PomsO9Egyp9HbvRXnpvDvOGYrqfsBcNW4taoK2r60bXDcDAjJxn47gcTDCJgcmtUY7GwIUg1xdVMK215ECJmmBEHb7m_8uW5OYXpWLZYBK9oxwypfB9ZKCwXNV-0vR-rM/s640/blogger-image--1748416022.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhunDgJAJLWWN5PomsO9Egyp9HbvRXnpvDvOGYrqfsBcNW4taoK2r60bXDcDAjJxn47gcTDCJgcmtUY7GwIUg1xdVMK215ECJmmBEHb7m_8uW5OYXpWLZYBK9oxwypfB9ZKCwXNV-0vR-rM/s640/blogger-image--1748416022.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0IbJ5Qg3_Mu02hTa7MCz2tw18b5_2DRmnbMS0ag48p5FgpBkE1IXXnjhXGqVShYE66wNTHtAwW5zZ8VN9zch4XOiIL3ELM7zIp04KTaDQNuJyjS3sCe-a3czXgmCHhUht_dDJs32ENPLB/s640/blogger-image-1955454343.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0IbJ5Qg3_Mu02hTa7MCz2tw18b5_2DRmnbMS0ag48p5FgpBkE1IXXnjhXGqVShYE66wNTHtAwW5zZ8VN9zch4XOiIL3ELM7zIp04KTaDQNuJyjS3sCe-a3czXgmCHhUht_dDJs32ENPLB/s640/blogger-image-1955454343.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4WVvDvknCTeDZM2E9KCEZUMrd_FO94FshA2DxRMD7pHxE-SkMNdWkLF5EN6cmnFquMPhERZqQlrgSUd10hOnV4UcdpXpCs_2jOPNi1GwzqYDtQtQpEm0Be-uAmng86HDdne2KgY4i40ay/s640/blogger-image--541651644.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4WVvDvknCTeDZM2E9KCEZUMrd_FO94FshA2DxRMD7pHxE-SkMNdWkLF5EN6cmnFquMPhERZqQlrgSUd10hOnV4UcdpXpCs_2jOPNi1GwzqYDtQtQpEm0Be-uAmng86HDdne2KgY4i40ay/s640/blogger-image--541651644.jpg" /></a></div> <br/><br/><div class="separator"style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1SBXWbu8COqANOS-XZsVkXa8r8nglQ3wDd2bshCe7Hp6XMQvwsphdVX1K0Uwbclzmm0k3sDFpIXjGZuNXAFDSlJSvMLzjF4QnwfOgr4Ty9Bt9YfszTshYv2TKCKXNywZ7ADtngfzWSjkt/s640/blogger-image-1194140237.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1SBXWbu8COqANOS-XZsVkXa8r8nglQ3wDd2bshCe7Hp6XMQvwsphdVX1K0Uwbclzmm0k3sDFpIXjGZuNXAFDSlJSvMLzjF4QnwfOgr4Ty9Bt9YfszTshYv2TKCKXNywZ7ADtngfzWSjkt/s640/blogger-image-1194140237.jpg" /></a></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00372430765574557833noreply@blogger.com0Basildon Basildon51.570526 0.443214tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204576268093529635.post-6319236320757655722012-09-12T15:45:00.001-07:002012-09-12T15:50:21.992-07:00Facebook testHmmm hope this works<br />

<a href="http://www.wired.com/geekdad/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SDE-box.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://www.wired.com/geekdad/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SDE-box.jpg" width="370" /></a></div>
Hello again and welcome back,<br />
<br />
This unfortunately will be the last post on here for a good while due to me moving home, it's been 11 long stressful months of chasing potential buyers and quite frankly awful solicitors but we are there finally.<br />
<br />
Have no fear I will return to the hobby, after all 6th edition is right around the corner and I will be sure to play that at some point, where am I going with this....well I shall be constructing a new man cave in the new house!<br />
At long last all my hobby tools will be together with my paints and supplies, and I can get that airbrush setup properly in a spray booth.....heaven!<br />
<br />
But enough of the future and back to the recent past!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sguFGamWl5w/T9ZMHNFAfGI/AAAAAAAAA-4/Ir8Vn4_7NKM/s1600/IMG_0751.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-sguFGamWl5w/T9ZMHNFAfGI/AAAAAAAAA-4/Ir8Vn4_7NKM/s640/IMG_0751.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the merry band of heroes painted by Adam and myself for his SDE box set, how awesome do they look! I absolutely loved these as a mini project, they were a blast to paint...it's all about the eyes as soon as you get them done they just come alive.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-ZqkrirEhc/T9ZMHLiQ1HI/AAAAAAAAA-0/-_MZRRJBEfY/s1600/IMG_0752.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-q-ZqkrirEhc/T9ZMHLiQ1HI/AAAAAAAAA-0/-_MZRRJBEfY/s640/IMG_0752.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
At the time of this picture Adam had everything painted but 1 Ogre and the Dragon, almost the complete set and don't they look good.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LAyeR2xRQ2w/T9ZMGptIlHI/AAAAAAAAA-w/oR01O0BlyuM/s1600/IMG_0753.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-LAyeR2xRQ2w/T9ZMGptIlHI/AAAAAAAAA-w/oR01O0BlyuM/s640/IMG_0753.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
We settled down to play a game (my first) and I found it easy to pick up, if a little crazy remembering how many dice each hero gets for various actions, the game flows really well and gets seriously tough once the Ogres and Dragons pop out to play.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lF_mxgLIG0w/T9ZMaon5UmI/AAAAAAAAA_Q/wLiZty_GWxo/s1600/IMG_0755.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-lF_mxgLIG0w/T9ZMaon5UmI/AAAAAAAAA_Q/wLiZty_GWxo/s640/IMG_0755.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
In the end the Paladin was slain quickly followed by the Elven Archer babe,leaving just the little Dwarf to take on the Dragon........he failed and was toast!<br />
<br />
Had a fantastic game and it was cool to play with painted stuff as well, congrats to Adam for the finished set.<br />
<br />
Right that's all from me for a while, I will see you on the other side of 6th edition bigger and better!<br />
<br />
Take care peoples<br />

<br />
There it is my first diorama!<br />
All I wish is that I had more time to spend on it but I am right in the middle of moving house infact I move in two days!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEDPgXKwvhF6be-T5YOeG5o9XGZhrJcmi7Jo6zZbmyy8-tcl6iPOIYR8qN9Sdfwt_6vry83QK8cEKtCUpaC1LXMMl3MMAsBtKq_hMRXpvnvp9wBpX6DDk9s04O_37hO472O8WfNlFz3jhG/s1600/SDC12777.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEDPgXKwvhF6be-T5YOeG5o9XGZhrJcmi7Jo6zZbmyy8-tcl6iPOIYR8qN9Sdfwt_6vry83QK8cEKtCUpaC1LXMMl3MMAsBtKq_hMRXpvnvp9wBpX6DDk9s04O_37hO472O8WfNlFz3jhG/s640/SDC12777.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
These are the buggies I opted for an urban scheme featuring panels of grey, white and blue.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRkj-APez7Awk97YZmOODfD_MNosyLASr3Zl5I7f2o8hY4lJH8xgs1wVyZ49ilLSR4HTsUGLHJQrt0vDZChOUB6gP5wPClo5_rn4DZZMEcjvP1ofLnCIlHShymg7D6NId7rltafFkUQDUe/s1600/SDC12779.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjRkj-APez7Awk97YZmOODfD_MNosyLASr3Zl5I7f2o8hY4lJH8xgs1wVyZ49ilLSR4HTsUGLHJQrt0vDZChOUB6gP5wPClo5_rn4DZZMEcjvP1ofLnCIlHShymg7D6NId7rltafFkUQDUe/s640/SDC12779.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And the Shaltari Warstrider, not sure if I got the OSL right on the main gun but it's as good as I can do in the current time frame.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
This picture is just to show you the size of the units compared to a 5 pence piece for scale.<br />
<br />
The whole build was very different to how I would usually approach a model, and taught me that you have to add so much more detail to a diorama to get it looking "right".<br />
<br />
Thanks people i'm off to decorate and pore over the 6th edition rulebook this wekend!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00372430765574557833noreply@blogger.com2Basildon, Essex, UK51.576084 0.48873651.5366115 0.409772 51.615556500000004 0.5677tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2204576268093529635.post-70778065491687638892012-06-11T13:11:00.001-07:002012-06-11T13:11:26.054-07:00Dropzone Commander Update<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Welcome back to another fun packed edition, the update so far on the diorama is that its built and the units are painted at last........phew!<br />
I went for an urban camouflage on the UCM Wolverine Scout Buggies judging that future humans would still use camouflage as a method of avoiding detection.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oFl5DEv7L-c/T9ZLbBqCAfI/AAAAAAAAA-I/PFsZLzERJ-E/s1600/IMG_0748.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-oFl5DEv7L-c/T9ZLbBqCAfI/AAAAAAAAA-I/PFsZLzERJ-E/s640/IMG_0748.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
And on the Shaltari Ocelot Warstrider I chose a suitably alien scheme with some OSL for it's main beam cannon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b1lv-_bUeXo/T9ZLcyMhfvI/AAAAAAAAA-Y/5Zasm-fhiXg/s1600/IMG_0757.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-b1lv-_bUeXo/T9ZLcyMhfvI/AAAAAAAAA-Y/5Zasm-fhiXg/s640/IMG_0757.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Once it's all dry a quick coat of varnish and they are done, onto the building at last.<br />
I may still chance a few details on the Warstrider to pimp it up a bit but not sure what!<br />
Stay tuned for more.....<br />

<br />
Hello Munky fans I am back with a bang!<br />
<br />
I managed to snag some pre-release models from Hawk wargames up coming future sci-fi game Dropzome Commander.<br />
David kindly sent me an Ocelot warstrider and 4 Wolverine Scout Buggies from the Shaltari Tribes and United colonies of Man factions respectively as well as a building to play with.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iBE9p5qRFoE/T83WlRuT4KI/AAAAAAAAA9I/XVkKwGD7qyw/s1600/IMG_0739.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="476" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iBE9p5qRFoE/T83WlRuT4KI/AAAAAAAAA9I/XVkKwGD7qyw/s640/IMG_0739.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The Warstrider is a nice kit the legs are posable and the weapons are all push fit so a small magnet in the fitting will allow full rotation of the body, cockpit and main weapon.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m-K4hsXP7PA/T83Wkw_Cn0I/AAAAAAAAA9E/Ib1MqT6wIOE/s1600/IMG_0738.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-m-K4hsXP7PA/T83Wkw_Cn0I/AAAAAAAAA9E/Ib1MqT6wIOE/s640/IMG_0738.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The scout buggies are the same the turrets just push in place.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ynZNCveZ9qA/T83WkScsMrI/AAAAAAAAA9A/7_w20Kz3lPU/s1600/IMG_0737.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ynZNCveZ9qA/T83WkScsMrI/AAAAAAAAA9A/7_w20Kz3lPU/s640/IMG_0737.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The building has superb detail and is very well proportioned for the miniature which are 10mm scale.<br />
<br />
The models have a ridiculous level of detail, they are covered in vents and lights and only had a few air bubbles in odd places which were filled with Liguid greenstuff or squadron putty.<br />

The resin is flexible and easily worked with a file or knife and glues nice with superglue as well.<br />
Overall I am impressed with the kits and they knock the socks of GW's crapcast, very pleasant to work with.<br />

I am planning on a diorama to showcase the models, it will be an urban setting with the official looking building as a back drop, and the buggies have stumbled upon the mighty Warstrider...a David and Goliath moment!<br />
The building will be raised up somewhat on steps and there will be a pavement and road added in as well as other details.<br />
<br />
Let me know your thoughts and suggestion please<br />

Wow another month has blown by so fast, were does the time go?<br />
Anyways I'm back from a much needed break to Portugal and had a week of at home too, so I'm nice and recharged and rested.<br />
Enough chat time to show you what I've been doing in recent weeks, the first up is the chests from <a href="http://sodapopminiatures.com/content/super-dungeon-explore">Super Dungeon Explore</a> These were a blast to paint up and I stuck them on some bases to match them to the figures from the game.<br />

This is the Barbarian chick, Paladin and Thief from the set, <a href="http://warhammer-tau-army.blogspot.co.uk/">Adam from Warhammer Tau</a> painted the Paladin I did the other two on the first afternoon we met up to do some painting.<br />
On the second afternoon he painted the Dwarf and myself the Wizard, I was distracted by Adam putting Predator on the TV awesome film!<br />

Hi Munky fans,</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Many apologies for taking so long to post this I have been extremely busy.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
As you can see I finished the TuShan model and the Cyclone Terminator for the client, these are the final two figures for the moment in the Salamanders commission.</div>

I learnt how hard it is to get a nice smooth blend with white (damn that was hard!) and how tough it is to get a clean finish with your sculpting, so to all you dudes and dudettes who do it a massive chunk of respect goes out to you.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
So what have I been up to recently.....not much to be honest sorry, I'm still grinding through my Space Wolves I post up the pics once I have finished the current 3 models.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Why three you may ask, it's a good number for me to work on at one time, any more and I get bored and less and I feel like I'm not making progress.</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
I have started to play about with the new Games Workshop paints and they don't seem too bad, I've stocked up on the colours I need for my Space Wolves as I was silly enough to make a custom grey......DOH!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I have been painting up some <a href="http://sde.sodapopminiatures.com/">Super Dungeon explore</a> figures with my buddy <a href="http://warhammer-tau-army.blogspot.co.uk/">Adam</a> and once they are done I'l post them up too, they are very nasty sculpts but they are way cool when painted.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
That's all for now folks</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>

<br />
Hello once again, it's been a few weeks but I have tales to tell.<br />
<br />
Once again real life has been getting in the way of my hobby time but the move draws ever closer and my new workspace looms on the horizon so it's a case of "good things come to those who wait!"<br />
<br />
Enough of that and onto what I've been upto this past weekend.......<br />
<br />
As the title suggests I attended the Warhammer Forge Masterclass this past Saturday hosted by Adam Snook and with Phil Stutcinskas and Mark Bedford as our teachers for the day.<br />
<br />
I drove up the night before and stayed in the Park Plaza hotel in the city center mainly so I was rested and ready for a hard days painting, the day began with registration in Bugmans Bar at 9:30 we were led across to a conference room setup with a video camera and projection screen so we could watch up close.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijiLg3GZ0zox47R-aIlEFpXbvrJRcQm1c8RudoJ9JApoJqBvXPmXcCKknBrIo9a1ChVSbUQmJNDPxX581jr6uP_pnYZjhPFZcgcPUs-UPipo26fPGzBDaC20lrXoRSAD375YfuP7bNGk8N/s1600/IMG_0307.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="478" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijiLg3GZ0zox47R-aIlEFpXbvrJRcQm1c8RudoJ9JApoJqBvXPmXcCKknBrIo9a1ChVSbUQmJNDPxX581jr6uP_pnYZjhPFZcgcPUs-UPipo26fPGzBDaC20lrXoRSAD375YfuP7bNGk8N/s640/IMG_0307.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><br />
Each painter had a workstation setup with brushes and paints and an Ogre Kingdoms Stonehorn/Thundertusk model built into subsections and basecoated appropriately, the schedule for the day and which areas we were going to cover along with what paints were used was laid out on a laminated sheet (which we got to keep along with the brushes and model!)<br />
<br />

Phil and Mark had previously built and painted each of the variants in their own style for us to drool over, and the painting for the day was to cover their techniques for painting good looking armies very fast.<br />
<br />

The actual day was great their methods are very easy to follow and whilst they may seem very strange they work amazingly well, I honestly believe that everyone in the room could produce a model as good as the two shown above with what we were shown on the day.<br />
<br />
Adam Snook was photographing us and uploading them to the GW facebook page throughout the day so if you want to see more check out their facebook page .<br />
<br />
I will be returning to the model in a series of articles very soon to divulge what I learnt and to finish it, it is an awesome plastic kit packed with detail so will be a joy to paint.<br />
<br />
See you soonAnonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00372430765574557833noreply@blogger.com0
